Certified Wing Tsun Instructors

(Sifu Mike Adams) HEAD INSTRUCTOR OF DYNAMIC MARTIAL ARTS/BLOOMINGTON,IL

Master

Master Mike Adams is one of the most respected (and one of the most senior) WingTsun instructors in America today. Sifu Adams has been training in martial arts since 1976.

In 1980, Sifu Adams met and began training with Dr. Leung Ting, the Great Grandmaster of WingTsun Kung Fu. This was during the Great Grandmaster's first trip to Texas (and one of his first trips to America) from Hong Kong.

Today Sifu Adams is a To-Dai ("Kung Fu son") of Great Grandmaster Leung Ting. He was promoted to 5th Level Practician (Master) in March 2011, becoming the third of only three Americans ever promoted (so far) to Master level by Great Grandmaster Leung Ting.

Sifu Adams has been teaching WingTsun professionally in Illinois since 1988, and is the father of WingTsun in the Midwest. He is a founding member of the International WingTsun Association - North American Section, and serves on the Board of Directors as the Financial Manager.

Sifu Adams has trained many leading WingTsun instructors in America today. In addition to being the primary instructor at Dynamic Martial Arts of Bloomington-Normal, Sifu Adams or his students also have schools or classes in the Chicago suburbs, in Fairfield, Iowa, Peoria, IL, and in New York City.

(SiFU Darrell Taylor) HEAD INSTRUCTOR OF AUTHENTIC WING TSUN KUNG FU OF PEORIA

Sifu Darrell Taylor, student of "Master" Mike Adams, started training in Wing Tsun, at Dynamic Martial Arts, Bloomington. He rose quickly through the ranks to become an instructor and was also promoted to Second Level Technician in 2014. He is now the Head Certified instructor and Sifu - Authentic Wing Tsun of Peoria, IL. "Kung fu" can basically be translated as "hard work and dedication." Driving from Peoria, Illinois to our Bloomington, Illinois school, he comes to almost every class. He's so dedicated there have been times we've seen him drive 40 miles each way even when he could only make it for the last half hour of class after a normal, long day of work.

Sifu Taylor enjoys teaching self defense to build confidence, motivation, and a high sense of personal safety for everyone.

Defend yourself through the simplicity of Wing Tsun in a relaxed state of mind.

WingTsun's scientific principles allow even a smaller person to defeat a large, powerful opponent through simple, yet superior, technique.

WingTsun teaches "contact reflexes," the ability to feel what an opponent is doing and respond long before one could from visual input alone.

Close-range techniques such as punches, low kicks, elbows, and knees are combined with highly maneuverable footwork and applied in a springy manner which borrows the opponent's force and turns it back against them.

WingTsun is sometimes seen spelled as Wing Tsun, Wing Chun or Ving Tsun. It is a Southern Chinese Kung Fu style taught by the late Grandmaster Yip Man (Ip Man). It was the original style of the late Bruce Lee.

The WingTsun spelling is a trademark of (current President/Founder), Great Grandmaster Leung Ting, "closed-door disciple" of the late Grandmaster Yip Man.

The International WingTsun Association - North American Section (IWTA-NAS) is the only organization in North America which represents Great Grandmaster Leung Ting's International WingTsun Association (IWTA), the largest Chinese martial arts organization in the world, with branches in over 50 countries.
